Black Kat & Kittens are undoubtedly one of the most unique bands of the Berlin blues scene. The Berlin-based trio combines down home blues, gospel, folk, soul and African sounds to an existing traditional and original compositions program that takes the listener on a journey in a time when music was still handmade and came from the deepest soul.

With wit and charm, but especially with her expressive voice, Lorraine Lowe leads the audience through more than a hundred years of African-American music history. Her voice is borne of intense singing an English woman with Jamaican and Indian roots, with strong interplay of her two companions. The Polish-born musician Adam Sikora presents himself not only as an excellent harp player, but also takes up occasionally the the drums.

Last but not least the two founding members Adam Sikora and Lorraine Lowe are recently joined by Mauro Pandolfino, from Italy, an extraordinary Berlin based guitarist… Mauro Pandolfino adds power, passion and authenticity to the music…. This makes up the result of their dynamic and distinctive sound. Adam Sikora and Lorraine Lowe will also on occasions feature other artists such as Nick Morrison on guitars and the african bongo, DiCarlo on drums and Moussa Coulibaly on Djembe, talking drums and Calabashi….
