CHARLIE SLAVÍK
Charlie Slavík is the most reputable harp player in the Czech Republic.
As the only Czech musician, he participated in the prestigious international blues contest IBC in Memphis, USA, where he made it all the way to the semi-finals. His ability to use the harp across all the genres is well documented on a number of records, to which he contributed as a soloist.
With his new project called Charlie Slavik Revue, he tries to introduce the blues to the European audience. Every shade of the Blues, uncompromisingly pulsating in it´s authentic form with an unrestrained energy. It is presented in a unique way, all the while slightly skimming related genres to the blues such as soul, swing and do-wop. Original tunes, which are the foundation of the bands set, are supplemented by well-known blues standards.
