FLORIAN KERN & ADRIAN KRUG

Supplied with a dynamic steel guitar and with an expressive voice, Florian Kern invites us to travel between dream and reality as well as through a variety of music styles that range from folk to jazz and soul up to world music. Since he’s the son of the locally famous blues musician Ludger Kern, his fertile soil remains to be the desert blues, but enriched by a deep melancholy and the sophisticated play of light refracting in a whiskey glass.

“Florian Kern is, what Americans call “gifted” – such sophisticated ideas of the blues don’t occur every day!” – BluesNews

Actually Flo Kern performs with his psychedelic trio „Don´t You Like Dead Musicians“, he‘s side-man of „EvilMrSod“, and since nearly 10 years he runs his solo project in different formations.

Thanks to Adrian Krug at the blues harp, the songs of Flo Kern recently have received an enrichment in sound and intensity.Adrian Krug became fond of playing mouth-organ 10 years ago in Vienna and has studied the music of Sonny Boy Williamson, Walter Horton and Peter Madcat Ruth with serenity and enthusiasm. For a journey with the European blues train 2016 Flo Kern is predestinated by a CD which he produced in 2012: a CD with the title “Train Ticket”.
